The Excitement of being 1 in 400!!!

6th Bead Soup Blog Party

I can hardly contain myself right now as I get my beads & findings ready for the 6th Bead Soup Blog Party. This Blog Party is sponsored by the one and only Lori Anderson. Lori is an amazing artist and blogger and deserves a BIG.....WHOOT WHOOT for taking on such a huge task not only once.....but now 6 times. WOW!!!
This weekend we will know who our swap partner is and then we get to choose some really nice beads from our own stash and send them to the other person. Once we receive the beads n things that our partner sends us we then have the wonderful task of creating some beautiful jewelry out of it. This is my FIRST Bead Blog Party and to say the least.....I AM SOOOOO VERY EXCITED to be able to do this.  Please follow along as I will be posting pictures of the before n after.

7000 Bracelets For Hope: Blog Hop

Welcome Everyone!
I am very excited to be apart the 7000 Bracelets For Hope: Blog Hop today hosted by Erin of Elysian Studios and Christine of One Kiss Creations to benefit the Global Gene's Project. It is their mission to collect 7000 denim-blue inspired bracelets for families living with rare disease.
The Global Genes Project exists to raise awareness and support for the more than 30 million people affected by rare diseases. There are currently over 7,000 rare diseases identified, and 75% of those affected are children.  With the 7000 Bracelets Campaign, the Children's Rare Disease Network gives artists and crafters an opportunity to lovingly share their creative gifts with families who have a child suffering with a rare disease.

My loving contribution is called "Spunky with a touch of Denim".  I love mixing different types of media when it comes to making bracelets. I had wanted to make a cuff made out of denim embellished with stones and chain but time was not on my side.....so instead I make this lovely bracelet using one denim belt loop, white & blue shades of stone and different chain attached with split rings. I then attached feather charms to carry the person wearing it to a quiet place when needed.
I pray that the wonderfully dedicated person who receives this bracelet will be uplifted and feel just a little spunky each time they wear it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting this awesome event. To see what all the other wonderful participants have created simply click on the links below and start hopping.

THE NEED FOR SCHEDULES!

Do we really need a schedule for our day??? I am faced with this very thought today and I find the answer to be most definitely we all do.  I have gone about my days not having a good schedule and I find that those days are the ones that hold the most chaos.  After so many years I finally have to be a big girl about it and say......YES LORI NEEDS TO HAVE EACH OF HER DAYS SCHEDULED!!!

So where to begin on this schedule journey.....The first place I went to was....Google search and typed in schedules and I have to say that experience was quite over whelming.  And then I remembered that yesterday I posted about using The Household Planner and realized that I had the answer to my scheduling issue but I just need to be patient till I get it all downloaded.  All I can say at this point is........DAH!!!!! So continuing on we will talk a little about the way we all need to be more on top of our scheduling and why.
I feel a lot of us are really looking for ways to be a stronger person, or maybe less forgetful and more productive.  We search for ways to have better self esteem, less depressed and more happy about who we really are, and more confident in our God given talents.  Bottom line is this.....we all just look for ways to be better at something because we are feeling inadequate about ourselves at that given time in our life.

The more I read about what I need to be a better person, mom, teacher and wife, the more I keep finding that on top of the list is the need to get scheduled & organized.....or vice virsa. That if I want to feel better about what or who I am.....I  need to get the clutter & chaos out so that I can think clearly and be able to put my daily events in line. And then....HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART.....I need to keep that schedule going everyday so that my mind is being taught to do the right thing day after day.  The key to having a more productive and sane day is to have a plan in place and know where we are going to be and at what time.  A schedule or daily planner is definitely the first step of many on my Goals Journey.....how about yours????

DAY 2 DEFINING FAITH

HOW DO I DEFINE MY FAITH?

To have faith is just knowing or believing that things are going to be okay. That no matter how difficult things get or how many trials & tribulations I go through....I know that by Gods grace n love I will be okay.

Some people call it blind faith and others may even say I'm crazy and not understand why I continue on going through with what I am dealing with. I just tell them that deep down in my heart I feel confident that God will not let me down and that he will see my through what ever I'm going through.

Hebrews 11:1 {NCV}
Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and
knowing that something is real even if we do not see it.

How do you define your FAITH????

IS IT REALLY THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY???

Wow! I looked at the calender this morning and realized that we are almost done with first month of 2012. Time does really fly by when we are all having fun, or working hard, or trying to re-organize ourselves for the new year......

I have made a very big GOAL for this year and that is to get everything organized and running efficiently for myself and my family.  I have spent so much time in total chaos most of my life that I am literally exhausted.  I have vowed to say NO MORE! and end it now.

With that said....I have taken a few weeks of this first month to find a few tools to start using to help me get to where I need to be. I love using Google search and started first by searching for a great planning tool for my individual day, week & month at a glance. The Household Planner for Busy Moms was the perfect fit. FlyLady.Net is also another wonderful site to get great planning tools and I highly recommend both to start you on your way along with me.

I have decided to do some major DE-cluttering of our household and everything else that seems to be bogging us down. Please join me on this journey and share what you are doing to make 2012 a great year too.

RESTARTING MY FAITH JOURNEY

Today I am restarting my 31 Days of Faith Journey with Tracie from tsjphotography.com. After reading her day 1 post I knew that God had brought me here and why. I am on a journey to renew my faith and strength in the Lord above. There was a time not too long ago that I was a very strong women, in love with the Lord  and very strong in my beliefs. All of my days were filled with song n praise and a outward faith that no one could miss....Then life decided to step in the way and completely turn my world upside down.  My faith was tested n tested again. So much that all that was left was a big hole of sadness and a hunger to regain my passion for my God and the purpose he has for me.
Here is the link and I ask you to follow along as a regain that strength, faith and passion I've lost touch with.

ON THE JOURNEY BACK TO CREAITVITY

I find it truly amazing how we can go from a well laid out plan into the would of total creativity to the everyday life ciaos that keeps most artists from what we really love to do. I started this blog a 6 months to help me nurture my creative child within and finally let her out to show the world what she has been crying to do. I have set myself deadlines, lists and tried to find ways to give her the tools & time to do what she longs to do.....EVERYTHING. At times I had to reel her in and tell her to wait cuz so many ideas were floating in my head that I couldn't think straight. Believe me that was not an easy task but it to be done. At other times the world of being a mom, wife & farm owner took over and there was just no time to let her play. These times saddened  her very much  because the creativity died down and she had no way to bring back the joy that she loves so much. Being an artist is not easy and especially so when it has been cooped up for so many years and all ya want to do it spend every single minute of your day in your studio or creative place making something. And when you can't, you feel like there is a huge hole that just needs to be filled by creating something with your hands.

I SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!! NO MATTER WHAT, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, I WILL MAKE SURE THAT MY CREATIVE INNER CHILD HAS THE FREEDOM TO EXPRESS HERSELF AND SHARE IT ALL WITH THE WORLD AROUND HER. SO HANG ON TIGHT AND ENJOY THE JOURNEY.

Long awaited Travels

Hello everyone and happy Monday,
I am happy to finally get our travels underway. This journey has had many sidetracks, but I would like to begin by sharing with you a little story. Over the past few yrs I have longed to spend my days filled with creating jewelry that I could sell and donate for fundraising auctions.  I have made individual pieces for friends on their birthdays and special occasions and even sold some of my designs but never had the time to truly build my own business. As this time has gone by I have felt a strong calling to finally show the world what hidden talents are within myself and so Adventures in Creativity as been born. I hope that you will enjoy our travels and share your creativity too.

Welcome

HELLO & WELCOME to my rural corner of the world. I thank each and everyone of you who travel with me on these exciting adventures of creativity. I am not sure where it will all lead to, but I hope that you will have a great time discovering new techniques & designs. I have been beading and making jewelry for almost 11 yrs now and get very excited when I come across a new idea or way to make a different piece of jewelry. On our journey I hope to share these ideas with you and ask that you will share your creative ideas & thoughts along the way.  Many minds make great works and sharing is positively wonderful.
                                        ENJOY, RELAX & BE CREATIVE!
